Ishími

Ishími is an audible phenomenon in Shagâna, a fell whisper heard carried on the winds of the desert.

Ever since the fall of Barkhûsh, the whispering and wailing of Ishími have driven to madness strong men caught in the barren wastes. The Anguished Wind can be heard especially clearly in Khûd Zagin.

According to Kintai lore, the Eldest of their people fade away in time, their material bodies turning to dust and their spirits left drifting on the wind. These spirits are called Väiri, and they are known to whisper on the wind, although they are unable to make clear their wishes. This may be the true explanation behind Ishími.
