Effects

Using this skill applies the  Herald Strike Healing Boon effect to the Minstrel.

The  Prowess effect removes the cooldown of the skill for the duration.

Using this skill removes 1 Corruption effect from the enemy target. See Corruption Removal Skills for a list of all skills that remove Corruptions.

Trait Interactions

• The trait  Herald's Strength in the Warrior-Skald trait tree makes this skill deal a small amount of extra damage and heals the Minstrel upon a critical hit. Further ranks increase the potency of these effects by up to 50%. At max rank, this skill applies Herald's Strength to the Minstrel and Herald's Strength to the target.
  
• The trait  Improved Strikes in the Protector of Song trait tree increases the damage of this skill by up to 30%.
  

• The trait  Change of Pace! in the Protector of Song trait tree makes this skill have a chance to apply Change of Pace - Attack! to the Minstrel. Further ranks increase the proc chance up to 25%.
  
• Specializing in the Watcher of Resolve trait tree makes this skill apply the Watcher of Resolve effect to the Minstrel upon a critical hit.
  

Tactical Information

The Strike Skill is the Minstrel's main way of removing Corruptions. While it does provide other small bonuses, the skill is never used for those purposes.
