Basic Dancing

Dancing is a popular activity, especially when Role Playing (RP) on Landroval and attending music events, as well as generally at festivals.

All characters have four basic dance moves, unique to each character race; the dances of other races can be learned during the various Festivals held throughout the year.

Enter "/dance" into the chat window and your character will perform their dance emote animation. You will continue to dance until you move.

You can use the "emote" Collections panel to both determine which Dance moves you know, and to actually execute them.

• It is recommended that you drag the emotes Dance1, Dance2, and Dance3, to your quickslot bar to aid in completing the dance quests as outlined in Dance of the Races.

/dance

result: All races have the same dance animation which is basically clapping and toe tapping.

/dance1

result: You hop from toe to toe and extend your right arm out once. Male hobbits spin round whilst doing this.

/dance2

result: You sway front to back at the hips with a slight turn while extending both arms.

/dance3

result: You hop up and down slapping your feet.

Dance of the Races

The following dances are learned during festivals at the appropriate festival areas according to each race's dance.

Or bartered for from certain vendors during festivals. Or purchased from the LOTRO-Store during Festivals.

Dances of the race of Man

result: You dance around like a Man.

/dance_man2

result: You dance around like a Man.

/dance_man3

result: You dance around like a Man.

Dances of the Elves

/dance_elf

result: You dance around like an Elf.

/dance_elf2

result: You dance around like an Elf.

/dance_elf4

result: You dance around like an Elf of old.

Dances of the Hobbits

/dance_hobbit

result: You dance around like a Hobbit.

/dance_hobbit2

result: You dance around like a Hobbit.

/dance_hobbit3

result: You dance around like a Hobbit.

/dance_hobbit4

result: You dance around like a Hobbit.

Dances of the Dwarves

/dance_dwarf

result: You dance around like a Dwarf.

dance_dwarf2

result: You dance around like a Dwarf.

/dance_jig

result: You dance a jig.
