Category talk:Episodic Content Quests

Why Episodic Contents Category?

I have looked into the quest-log and elsewhere but cannot find any signs of "Episodic Content". Since I was not about when this was created I hesitate rewiring the categories, though I believe Category:The Ballad of Bingo Boffin Quests should rather go into Category:Other Quest Categories. If you agree, we should also remove the "- ''Episodic Content''" from all quests links involved. Objections? — Zimoon 20:18, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

I think that rather this whole category could go into Category:Other Quest Categories and the other questlines from Category:Episodic Content should go into this one. I am not sure if the term "Episodic Content" is used somewhere in game, however it was loosely used by developers, for as the name suggests - quests that were episodic - became available over time - as you can see in the Category:The Ballad of Bingo Boffin Quests with the dates of when they originally appeared. I am not sure how this works on legendary servers, if it is episodic or all available, as i don't play there.

The advantage of marking these quests on questgivers might be preventing people from wondering why they cant get the quests - as i believe you have to do them in order from first one. It's similar to the epic quests, but those compared to these have 'book' or 'chapter' in name so its clear from that. --Drono (talk) 22:16, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

They are still in a named quest-chain that enforces players to start at 1 and continue from there. It is only the "episodic" I am asking about. And if it does not serve a purpose (unknown to me) I am about to remove that term from this wiki and move this category. — Zimoon 02:28, 20 November 2021 (UTC)

This may help explain it some Episodic Content which I recently updated and moved over the original dev diary that was on that page to Episodic Content Developer Diary yes in game it does not refer to it in the quest log however the original dev diary for (Bingo Boffin) as well as the forum post that mentions Lay of Rust and Rime both list them as Episodic content. I do agree with Drono that the quests from Category:Episodic Content should go into this one. That one should still exist though as it has all the rewards and titles for Episodic Content. As far as Legendary servers yes it is still episodic there and only releases weekly. Eldalleth (talk) 03:49, 20 November 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for feedback. It sounds like I will move this category to Other Quests. And since these quests are on a named quest-chain I will remove the episodic content from the places these quests occur; the prerequisite is found in the quest chain box on each quest. They are not seasonal or such so no need for that remark on them. — Zimoon 04:18, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
