Elves and men hunted the wild beasts of Arassien, the Stag-lands, for many years, and the woodlands echoed with the call of their horns and the stamping of their steeds' hooves on the hard-packed earth. The hunt continues today, though the name of the hunting grounds has been lost to all but scholars, and the woodlands are now simply part of Yondershire.
