Battle of the Plains
In the year 1856 of the Third Age, after 5 years of Easterlings ravaging eastern Gondor and the Northmen of Rhovanion, Gondor and the scattered remnants of their Northmen allies, assembled an army under the leadership of king Narmacil II Romenturún of Gondor. The king marched his host from Ithilien to the open plains south of Mirkwood, where they met their foes, the Wainriders. However, after a long and bloody battle Narmacil's host was defeated and he was killed in the engagement. One of the many soldiers who fell in the battle was Marhári, who was the father to Marhwini. After the battle, Marhwini led the Thíuda, also known as the Ai-thúda on a long journey in search of a new home, eventually resettling in Avabárg in the Vales of Anduin. Thus led to the rise of the Rohirrim.
