Description
Adaric Burrows is a pipe-weed farmer who is found next to Bungo Grubb at a pipe-weed field in eastern Oatbarton, in Evendim. He is wondering over the Mysterious Relic that is killing the pipe-weed crop, but is he the suspect?
Dialogue
- Where do you think it came from?
- "It doesn't feel like it belongs in the Shire, does it? I think it came from Outside, though Bungo disagrees. If you ask him he'll just tell you that I'm to blame.
- "I wouldn't do anything to his pipe-weed! My crop would have beaten his fair n'square. There's something about this terrible stone that tells me honest folk had nothing to do with it."
- You don't believe Bungo?
- "Who's to say that he didn't bring this thing here himself? Put it right in the middle of his crop, give him a good excuse to not have to compete with my excellent pipe-weed crop at the annual festival? Maybe he just wants to convince people I did it! In fact, I'm sure that's it!"
