New raid "Helegrod" in the north of the Misty Mountains has been released, and should be added. - Fedaykin

There should be a distinction between PVE and PVP (ie. PVMP) raids. They're both listed here on the same page. Perhaps the game's PVE raids could be kept on here, and the raids in the ettens on some article in the Ettenmoors. After all, the Ettenmoors are a huge pvp zone and any raid quest there is not completed in a private "raid instance". The only current article that should be on this page is Helegrod, which I will hopefully be working on sometime soon, as I've cleared everything but Thorog numerous times and gathered some information and screenshots. :) --Fedaykin 15:48, 11 August 2007 (PDT)

Agreed. I'd say move them over to an Ettenmoors Raids page, linking to it from here near the top of the page. Presumably with the first paid update there will be a 2nd-monster-play-area raids page too. In the long term it may be worth moving "normal" raids to their own page too, but with only one raid (and not a clue what to call the page!) there's no point atm. I'm still polishing up the Barad Gularan article and have lots of work to do on the other instances, but I will try to fit that in when I can. I'd estimate it to happen once I begin serious updates on Helegrod.
Fortunately I can tell you that the joy of having more instances/raids piled up on the to-do list only continues next patch (Book 10), where I believe they are adding a 12-man raid to Annuminas in Evendim. That will be the second raid that fits on this page, and if I read the dev chats correctly, they're definitely not stopping there.
As for a second PVMP area, I do think that's still far, far away, mostly in the realms of speculation. However, it's been said and announced that there are plans for an "Ettenmoors Caves" area (called something similar) that will be accessible to the faction that currently controls certain keeps in the moors. You'll be able to kill mobs and get items for the Bartering system there, which can be turned in for nice rewards! At least that's the way I understood it... should be fun! :) --Fedaykin 02:31, 15 August 2007 (PDT)

Encounter Logs

I am interested in lotro raid encounter logs for a raiding addon I'd like to write. If you have any, and can share perhaps we can start a section under raiding for these?

What are raid encounter logs? --Ravanel (talk) 04:52, 23 November 2011 (EST)
I would like to see chat speech of the NPC / Mob, along with combat text. By right clicking on those chat panels, logging can be turned on. Lunarwater (talk) 11:20, 23 November 2011 (EST)
