Template:Crafting

This is the template documentation for {{Crafting}}. It is transcluded from Template:Crafting/doc and may be directly edited there.

Usage

Use this template to render a crafting recipe, including the ingredients, regular and critical outputs, and experience rewards. The output from this template will roughly approximate the display from the crafting panel in-game.

In all normal cases, this template should be preceded by an instance of {{Recipe}}, which is used to represent the scroll that characters must read to learn the crafting recipe that this template (Crafting) describes - even in the case of auto-bestowed recipes for which there is no actual scroll to read.

Create new recipe can be used to quickly generate new crafting recipes by generating blank {{Recipe}} and {{Crafting}} templates for you. Also check Help:Crafting for guidelines on formatting and additional information that should be included on a recipe page.

Parameters

name: (required) The name of the normal output item, exactly as listed by the in-game recipe screen (leave off the Item: prefix).
result: (optional) If the actual output item is different from how it's labeled on the in-game recipe, put the correct item here (leave off "Item:" again).
icon: (optional) Icon name (without "File:" and "-icon.png") for the normal result. If this is unset, then the icon will be pulled directly from result or name above. Only use this if we don't have a page yet for the item or if that page doesn't have an icon yet.
Number-of-Normal-Results: (optional) Number of normal results produced by this recipe. Defaults to 1 if unset
Tier: (required) A number from 1 though 15 where 1 → Apprentice, 2 → Journeyman, ... , 13 → Minas Ithil, 14 → Gundabad, 15 → Umbar
Points-Earned: (required) Number of crafting points earned.
Multi-output: (optional) If this is a multi-output recipe, then enter the number of different versions of the recipe you can choose from (top right corner).
Only-One-Use: (optional) If this is an "Only one use" recipe, set this to a non-blank value like "yes" or "y".
Cooldown: (optional) If the recipe has a cooldown timer, then enter "small", "medium", or "large" for "18 hours", "2 days 18 hours", and "6 days 18 hours", respectively. (See Template:Recipe-cooldown for up-to-date values).
Tool-Required: (required) Crafting tool required, read directly from the crafting panel (green text).
Facility-Required: (required) Crafting facility required, read directly from the crafting panel (green text).
Number-of-Item1: (optional) Number of first ingredient required for the recipe. Defaults to 1 if unset.
Ingredients-Item1: (required) Name of first ingredient without the "Item" prefix
Ingredients-Item1-icon: (optional) Icon name (without "File:" and "-icon.png") for first ingredient. If this is unset, then the icon will be pulled from Ingredients-Item1's page. Only use this if we don't have a page yet for the item or if that page doesn't have an icon yet.

Critical-Chance: (optional) Default critical percentage bonus. Note that the historical default value is 5%
Critical-Trophy: (optional) Name of optional crit-rate enhancer trophy, if any.
Critical-Trophy-use: (optional) Critical percentage bonus from trophy.
Number-of-Critical-Trophies: (optional) Number of critical trophies required, leave blank if only one - it's very rare that more than one critical trophy will be used (mostly for bulk recipes).
Critical-Name: (optional) The name of the critical output item, exactly as listed by the in-game recipe screen (leave off the Item: prefix).
Critical-Result: (optional) If the critical output item is different from how it's labeled on the in-game recipe, put the correct item here (leave off "Item:" again).
Critical-Result-icon: (optional) Icon name (omit "File:" and "-icon.png") for critical result; treated the same as other icon parameters.
Number-of-Critical-Results: (optional) Number of critical result produced, leave blank if only one; same suggestions as other number parameters.
