I haven't been there, but you could you put in the quest level by your note that it is a hub?--YuriPup 11:05, 4 April 2007 (PDT)

To be honest I am not entirely sure - I have been through Hobbiton on many occasion (Usually for farmlands or passing through) but I have never done all the shire quests, only heard others doing them. Perhaps someone with more experience on the hobbit side can note this. --Hamma 11:13, 4 April 2007 (PDT)
Well that would leave you many up on me. You would certainly have a feel for the general level of the quests there.--YuriPup 05:22, 5 April 2007 (PDT)

samweis' nickname?

since when did he get one? isn't Sam just a short name? like Alex or Xander to Alexander? --Xander 15:07, 4 April 2007 (PDT)

If it's not your proper name its a [nickname]. So yes Xander is a nickname for Alexander.--YuriPup 05:22, 5 April 2007 (PDT)
Well, I guess you're right, even though some of the stuff you refer to is highly theoretical, it just shows the difference in our cultural background, where i was born short name was a proper name... =) --Xander 06:18, 5 April 2007 (PDT)
Naa I am just a highly technical pain in the butt. Technically, even Sasha is a nickname for Alexander, even though very few Russian men are properly call Alexander. And if you hit the signature button it will automagically add all the name and time/date stuff for you.--YuriPup 06:22, 5 April 2007 (PDT)
i know the trick with signature, and use it all the time, i just have at the moment "Raw Signatures" turned on, since i wanted to play with custom made ones... --Xander 06:31, 5 April 2007 (PDT)
Ah I was clueless about them and was writing all that stuff in by hand. --YuriPup 06:35, 5 April 2007 (PDT)
I am sorry, and I should definitely be the last person to be amused by spelling errors as I am so good at making them, but the image of Sam Weis Gamgee just cracks me up. A nicew jewish hobbit he is.--YuriPup 07:04, 5 April 2007 (PDT)

Update

This page will be going through some major updates as I fill it out with all the NPCs and points of interest as is typical with the updates for Project:NPCs and Project:World. I'll try to retain as much of what is currently there as possible but it will be an overhaul. --Deyvid 20:35, 11 June 2008 (PDT)

Transport costs

The fee for Westbree was lowered to 5 silver. I can not change it in the article. --Dathor (talk) 05:37, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the catch! The costs were actually listed over on Bogo Chubb's page. I went ahead and updated it - speak out if you find any more. :) Sethladan 13:52, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
