Grimbeorn's Lodge

The page refers to the main building in Beorninghús as 'Grimbeorn's House' however on entering it is identified as 'Grimbeorn's Lodge'. The page refers to the main building in Beorninghús as 'Grimbeorn's House' however on entering it is identified as 'Grimbeorn's Lodge'. The map of the area is named 'Grimbeorn's House' which is somewhat confusing as the text below the mini-map shows 'Beorninghús'. The Beorning trait, Return to Grimbeorn's Lodge (Trait) refers to it as the lodge also.

Not sure if there is any difference during and post Chapter 10 because my character is level 46 and far from those chapters when entering so perhaps there is some difference. Or it is simply accessible now before this point and the name has changed. I accessed Beorninghús via Eryn Lasgalen to the east (from Erebor).

Some other differences to the text are that Grimebeorn and Gírta are outside the entrance with Gandalf alone in the instanced interior. pre chapter stage. Certainly in the non instanced version of the area it was possible just to come in via the entrance from Meadhollow with seeming no restriction. Perhaps the text needed revising to reflect any changes to access/ names etc. since writing. Moonraker - Toodlepip (talk) 02:11, 16 May 2022 (UTC)

This page should be named after what is read under the mini-map (radar) when being inside of the interior. A lot of interiors have different outdoor versus indoor names. Wiki rules for this are found at Help:Names#Locations. From what you wrote I believe this page should be moved to the correct name, right?
For outdoor locations, the rules read "if it has a map, use the name on that map". No matter what is read under the radar. Visit Rivendell for example, under the radar you read Rivendell Valley 😉 — Zimoon 16:07, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for pointing me towards the relevant Help page. I have tried to read through most of it but not that bit yet. Part of my confusion is that this page gives location (Settlement?) as Beorninghús which should then be corrected to Grimbeorn's House, with the interior to Grimbeorn's Lodge, given the above. It's not helped by the game using the former for things like Stable-master etc. but guess we can but try to correct it based on the rules here. The other differences in description I am wary to change given I have not experienced the chapter quests there myself and seen what if any phasing/ changes that makes. Just noted how it was from lower level perspective. Moonraker - Toodlepip (talk) 20:09, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
I have only been there at character creation so I cannot really say. If it is not much different from what I saw there should only be the area and the Grimbeorn's Lodge. Remember that for the wiki's sake, the lodge as such may very well include outdoor NPCs and services, within reasonable distance of course. I think you can compare with The Last Homely House which includes some objects from the outdoor vicinity.
But if there are much more than the lodge and the NPCs at the character creation, yeah, that's another story. — Zimoon 16:06, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
