Walkthrough & Notes

This quest is a "wrapper quest" and resets twice a week: Sunday at 3:00 a.m. server time and Thursday at 3:00 a.m. server time. It can be taken from any of the three leaders: King Thorin III in Erebor, Queen Regent Erna in Dale, or King Thranduil in Felegoth. Completing any of the Strongholds of the North daily quests under the quest group "Restoring the North" will advance this quest. Since it is on a biweekly reset, taking a couple of days to complete it is not an issue, as long as it is completed before the reset time. Note that dailies are available and can be completed even without this quest active. If Queen Regent Erna is not offering you the The Remnants of Urûshoba quest (on Day 2), you probably have never completed it. Go to Jangovar encampment of Urûshoba [18.6N, 22.4W] to start the quest. This quest will auto-complete when the eighth quest is finished.

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue King Thorin III: 'In the past, it is possible that my folk were too proud to admit our need for friends and allies. I would not have us make the same mistake. 'Although our needs are great, Erebor is not alone in facing the troubles of this time. The North has suffered greatly, and the kingdoms of Men and Elves shall have need of one such as you. 'Aid them, and we shall all be the stronger for it.' Erna: 'The strength of the North is determined by each of its peoples, and we can ill-afford to be unprepared for the conflicts that lay ahead. 'Aid the peoples of Dale, Erebor, and Eryn Lasgalen in their hardships, and I shall see that your efforts are rewarded.' King Thranduil: 'It is no longer so simple a matter to live beyond the realms of Men and dwarves. If Eryn Lasgalen is to ever truly heal, we shall have need of our allies' trust and might. 'It is true that Eryn Lasgalen has great need of your aid, but I would also ask that you see to the needs of the peoples of Dale and Erebor in restoring their lands and kingdoms.'
