Bestowal dialogue Snow-beasts can be found throughout the Misty Mountains, especially near the source of the Bruinen. Defeat snow-beasts wherever you encounter them to make the mountain passes safer for those that travel through. Background Snow-beasts can be found throughout the Misty Mountains and are a hazard to any travellers making their way through. Objective 1 Defeat snow-beasts (0/12) Snow-beasts can be found throughout the Misty Mountains, especially near the source of the Bruinen. Defeat snow-beasts wherever you encounter them to make the mountain passes safer for those that travel through. Malthenor: 'Snow-beasts are ferocious creatures that fight with tooth and claw on the high ridges, <name>, and they are a grave danger to those forced to travel through the mountains. They must be defeated wherever they are found.' Objective 2 Talk to Malthenor Malthenor of Rivendell has been stationed in the Misty Mountains to keep watch over Glóin's camp. Malthenor will be pleased to hear that you have defeated many snow-beasts. Malthenor: 'You have survived the claws of the snow-beasts and returned with a tale to tell, <name>! I am glad to hear it and to tell you that you have performed a great service for those forced to travel into the mountains.'
