Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue "You have earned the respect of the formidable Captain Jajax, and he will now negotiate with you regarding the fate of Lothgobel." Background Jajax has agreed to speak with you about the fate of Lothgobel. Objective 1 Negotiate with Jajax Jajax is in the tavern of Lothgobel. You should speak with Jajax. Jajax: 'Normally an outsider would not be granted an audience with a captain of the Corsairs, but you have earned this right twofold. You bested the challenge laid before you, and you bested many of my men in battle already.' 'Tell me what it is you want.' You tell Jajax that you want his men to leave Lothgobel. Jajax says, "You wish us to leave this town we rightfully stole?" Jajax says, "A bold request to make of a tavern full of Corsairs." Jajax says,' Whether you are brave or foolish, I know not." Jajax says, "But I will tell you straight why you are permitted to stand before me thus, making such requests." Jajax says, "You came here to take back this town, which is your right." Jajax says, "You fought many of my men to do this, and defeated all who stood in your way." Jajax says, "I believe that you are a formidable foe..." Jajax says, "...And I would have you stop attacking my men." Jajax says, "So I say to you: We will leave, if you vow not to raise your weapons against us again." Objective 2 Speak with Jajax to tell him you agree Jajax is in the tavern of Lothgobel. You should speak with Jajax. Jajax: You tell Jajax that his offer is more than fair. 'Aye, that it is. And we do not play fair. See how the men grumble and stir already? It seems that some of them do not like my speech...' Objective 3 Watch the confrontation between Jajax and Hebil Hebil has come to ask for Jajax's help. You hear the tavern door slam open.... Jajax says, "We have guests!" Jajax says, "Ah, Captain Hebil. What are you doing on my turf?" Hebil says, "I ask you instead, Jajax, what this outsider is doing on your turf." Jajax says, "Seems to me that that's none of your business. Is it, boys?" This seems like one of those situations you should get out of....quickly. Jajax: 'You had best get out of here straight away, <name>. There is about to be a brawl of mighty proportions. I promise you I'll keep to my end of the bargain, eh? Now you keep to yours. 'Let the Corsairs handle their differences as they see fit.'
