Bestowal Dialogue

Haradrim invaders encircle Arnach, preparing to attack. Can Baranor and his two trusted captains muster their guards, green and untested by war, to hold strong against the brutal onslaught of the foe?

Background

Baranor and his men brace themselves against the oncoming Haradrim assault.

Objective 1

  • Talk to Baranor
  • Baranor must not be defeated
  • Dagor must not be defeated
  • Indir must not be defeated

Baranor stands on the bridge before Arnach's keep.

The Haradrim are likely to attack soon. Talk to Baranor now.

Dagor says, "I still say we should be out there - on the field of battle!"
Indir says, "That's the town, not a field of battle."
Indir says, "And we've been over this. The bridge is our best position of defence."
Baranor: 'The Southrons will be upon us any moment. I dearly hope we are prepared. I am heartened that you are here with us, <name>, at the very least.
'Now I must address the men.'

Objective 2

  • Defend Arnach
  • Baranor must not be defeated
  • Dagor must not be defeated
  • Indir must not be defeated

Baranor stands on the bridge before Arnach's keep.

Defend the keep with Baranor and his men.

Baranor says, "Now men. The enemy draws nigh!"
Baranor says, "Lord Forlong left us here to keep guard, while he rode off to fight. Now we must fight ourselves."
Baranor says, "Fight well. For Forlong!"
Lossarnach Soldier says, "For Forlong!"
Lossarnach Soldier says, "For Forlong!"
Lossarnach Soldier says, "For Forlong!"
Dagor says, "Where are they already? Is that them, there?"
Dagor says, "That would be my battle plan at work, Indir."
Dagor says, "Watch - and learn!"
Indir says, "But let us not die, if we can. Remember there are poor souls behind these walls."
Indir says, "Their lives are more dear than glory, by far."
Dagor says, "Look, they have fallen back! They are routed!"
Dagor says, "But we had just begun. After them! We'll dog them to their dying breaths. Raaaah!"
Baranor says, "Where are you going?"
Baranor says, "Dagor, you fool."
Baranor says, "Dagor!"
Baranor says, "Come back!"
Baranor says, "It is done. They are repelled... Would that this were a happier hour in their defeat."
Baranor says, "<name>, Indir. Come speak with me."

Objective 3

  • Talk to Baranor
  • Baranor must not be defeated
  • Dagor must not be defeated
  • Indir must not be defeated

Baranor stands on the bridge before Arnach's keep.

The Haradrim assault has be deflected. Baranor waits to talk with you.

Baranor: 'What madness is this? Running off into the night! Perhaps I was wrong... perhaps it is better he remained here in Arnach. Had he gone with Lord Forlong and behaved thus on the true field of battle... just think of the disgrace!
'But I am rattled and winded from the combat. Let us retire, set the townsfolk at ease, and tend to the wounded. Then, without delaying overlong, we should set out in search of Dagor.'
Completed:Instance: The Defence of Arnach
Baranor: 'My arms are weary and sore, <name>. I am not a young man! Let us retire and regroup.'
