• You are specialized in the Defender of the Free trait tree, and the Adaptability set bonus is active (at 10 ranks);
• The Word of Mastery tracery Increase Block & Parry Rating Application Chance is slotted on a legendary item.

This effect is removed after using one of the following Block Response skills (note that it is not removed when using further response skills like Bash or Shield-taunt):

•  Shield-swipe
•  Catch a Breath

This effect is tiered up from Block Adaptability I, and may be tiered up to Block Adaptability III.
