Lore

Astoryn was once the loyal hound of Ostir, the last prince of Cardolan. Ostir was ambushed by Angmarim and wights after returning from battle at Weathertop, and Astoryn was left alone in the southern Barrow-downs, where Luilloth found him. Together, they went in search of a way to defeat the Grey Fear, and together they remained entombed in Sarch Vorn, the Black Grave for many years afterward.
