Magill, I have moved some locations between categories, but am not yet familiar with all of them as my main character is at The Trollshaws right now, Angmar or The Misty Mountains next, I will see whichever. I have also added some basic descriptions to most of the "confusing" categories that explains their purpose and differences, I hope that will help. The only odd-ball now is Category:Landmarks which is at geography top-level, but I think that must be as landmarks can be almost anything and not just PoI:s or traces after humanoid activities but also nature phenomena, animal dens, etc.

Notice the explanation found in Category:Settlements, any page there may also be found in other categories. Settlements is for the template of a page, the others are descriptive categories which are more up to an editors sense of the atmosphere of the locations; very similar to the extra markers for landmarks actually.

Also notice that we are not "accuracy slaves" but if a blue-icon location does not provide more than minor services, we will use the landmark template, e.g. Barachen's Camp. Or see Tom Bombadil's House for a most silly example of a misplaced blue-icon. And the opposite of course, we may promote a location without a blue icon if it affords a sensible level of services, not that I come to think of an example right now but I am sure they exist.

Is everything set now? I hope so. There will always be question marks, but hopefully they are negligible ;)
