What I was seeing was that there are the six identical Reputation" deeds for every faction -- i.e. there is a deed in the deed log for each level of each faction (Outsider to Kindred). These simply enumerate your benefit for achieving that level and the number of TP awarded. These six deeds are called "Reputation deeds" in the Deed Log. (CLass/Race/Epic -- tab #4, Reputation) They are identical across all factions across all of Middle Earth.

Then there are the various deeds which award Reputation Points for their completion. There are none of these in the original 3 starter areas -- the shire, Ered Lune, Bree-land. Those are all listed at the top of the category page Category:Reputation Deeds and a couple of other areas -- marked "none" in that list.

(Bloody Liquid Threads -- broken again -- no preview-- argh!)

I'd have to research it, but I believe that the factions which have NO reputation yielding deeds are those who have reputation yielding items -- again the starter ares are that way -- Mathoms for the Shire; Dourhand crests for Thorins; medallions for Esteldin. Bree and Anuminius are the interesting ones as they had deeds added on the re-writes. Previously, they were Items, then Tasks only.

In the new areas, Dunland has no deeds, only items to be turned in for rep (Tasks) and Enedwaith is split -- deeds for the Grey Company, Quests but no deeds and no items for the Algraig. The Great River has both! Deeds, and items -- i.e. tasks.

So looking at the list, there are now 14 Factions with deeds to advance reputation, and 7 who do not.

In theory, "plain deeds" -- explorer, slayer, etc. are all in their separate categories by area unrelated to faction or reputation.
