Bio
Born in the Third Age of Middle-Earth, Matthalion's father was a reknowned warrior and proud protector of the Lord and Lady of the Wood. His mother was a keen scholar and crafted numerous potions to dispel the Enemy and was skilled with the command of nature. In his early childhood, Matthalion's father was slain by Sauron's servants whilst on return from a routine patrol. He watched on helplessly as his mother succummed to grief and decided to depart into the West, only to fall to the same fate as his father. Matthalion was taken in by Haldir and spent long years training under his command. Once he reached the skill required, he was advanced into the ranks of the Galadhrim archers (at an earlier age than most). He quickly proved his valour, killing numerous scouts sent down from the mountains. Then one day, word reached him that Galadriel had requested his presence on an urgent matter. With haste, he rode towards Calas Galadhon and met up with the Lady of the Wood. She explained a vision she had witnessed in her mirror, that the Enemy was moving on Eriador and that aid would be needed to repel the forces of Angmar. Before he departed, he was requested to peer himself into the mirror. What he saw would be stained on his mind, forever. The slayer of both his parents was none other than the Witch King of Angmar, along with Mordrambor and Amarthiel. At that moment, he swore vengence on the rulers of Angmar and rode into the night with a small company of Elves. Their destination; Erid Luin. For the time has come, for the retaliation of Matthalion!
