Bio
Moriko was born in Lorien around 618 years ago. She was the youngest daughter of Halin and Lessa of the noble house of Ealath. For as long as she can remember, Moriko was skilled as a hunter. When she was five, she was able to hit a target from twenty feet away by herself. Her older sister, Kelidal, on the other hand loved nature, like their mother, but Moriko wanted to follow her father’s profession and become a hunter. So, when she was 16 and her sister was 18, Moriko and her family went to Godolin. She started studying the ways of the hunter from a master, but the war with the dourhands would break their family apart for hundreds of years.
2 years later, the Dourhands invaded. Although Moriko and Kelidal wanted to fight their parents told Kelidal to take Moriko and to flee while they still had a chance. Unwillingly, Moriko went with her sister and fled south with the very few who made it out of the now falling city. Unfortunately, their parents were slain by the Dourhands, and, Moriko blamed her sister. Moriko blamed Kelidal for not letting her stay and fight, but Moriko knew in her heart that it wasn’t her sister’s fault.
They ended up in Celondim where they still continued to train. Moriko, from the moment they set foot into the town, wanted to leave. She had a need to explore. When Moriko was little and still training with her father, he told her stories of his adventures in Middle Earth. He also told her that one day she too would be able to explore and conquer evil. That is what kept Moriko’s hopes alive for the next twenty years. One night Moriko asked her sister if she could leave and travel the world, but promised to be back in a month. Kelidal just stared at the fire and told her a story of when Moriko was born and how proud they were to have another girl. Moriko knew her sister wasn’t going to let her leave, so that night after Kelidal went to sleep, Moriko packed her bags and left.
Over the next 300 years, Moriko traveled all over Middle Earth from the Northern Downs to the Trollshawls. Everywhere she went, she found people in need of help. No matter what the danger, Moriko was going to prove to Kelidal that she could take care of herself and help people. Over time, she grew better in her craft and more confident in herself.
Around 200 years ago, Moriko met an elf by the name of Anluan. He was a champion who lost his family about 700 years ago at the age of 5 when Orcs and goblin attacked his farm. He was the only survivor because his mother hid him in the hidden cellar. Ever since then he had been wondering the land killing the evil forces. Moriko told him the story of her past and about her parents and sister. Over the next few years, Anluan convinced her to go back to Celendium to make up with her sister. So they did, and when they got there the elves told her that Kelidal had left to search for her. So, Moriko continued to travel with Anluan for a long time. They fought Orcs, Dourhands, Trolls, Wolves, and much more all while searching for Kelidal. One day about 20 years ago, Anulan and Moriko were married. Each day they grew more in love. One day around eighty years later while in Bree, Anulan ran up to Moriko to tell her some news. He had heard that Kelidal just left Bree and was headed for the Forsaken Inn. Overjoyed she told him that she should go see her. He agreed she should go alone and he would stay in Bree till she got back.
When Moriko got to the Forsaken Inn she realized she had beaten her sister there, so she sat down and had a drink. It was only a few moments later that she saw Kelidal walk through the door. The two had a joyous reunion, and Moriko apologized for leaving. Kelidal understood and said they should tell what they had been up to the last 580 years. Each told of the good times and bad they have had. Kelidal invited her and Anulon to stay at her house until they had enough to buy one of their own. Moriko accepted and told her to bring her niece and nephew along one time so she can meet them. Both went back to Bree and Kelidal meet Anulon. After that they went their separate ways, but always kept in touch.
Moriko and Anluan joined the Union of the Black Forge with her sister, and teamed up with a human guardian named Marqiid. To this day, the three fight the forces of evil, and hope for happier times. But for now, Moriko is happy to have family and friends that she loves, but is saddened for she has come to the fact that all good things to must come to an end.
