Description

Physical Description: Ismira is an elf of graceful and light build, like most of her race. Her hair (usually held up tidily in a circlet) is of raven black. Her skin is a creamy white and her eyes are as blue and as deep as the sea which she shall never cross, yet as lighthearted and cheery as the summer sky. She likes to wear dark or jewel tones rather than bright colors. Ismira is very rarely seen in anything but a gown or robe, wishing to prove that females of all races may be strong and fearless as any man, and yet retain their femininity.

Personality Description: Although like many elves she can appear solemn or even grim at times, Ismira is quite the opposite. She loves to make her friends and kindred laugh and smile, and likes them to do the same to her. She is also fond of helping others and working in groups, although she is rarely able to do so.

Alas, however, there are no beings in Middle Earth without faults. Ismira can be quick of temper, often "losing it" (inwardly or openly) with adventurers who refuse to communicate or who possess poor spelling, pronunciation or grammatical skills. Ismira is not in possession of the most focused of minds, which might account for her dreadful sense of direction and her almost unbearably messy bags and house chests. But if one must have faults, better to have ones like these than an inclination to pure evil, is it not?

Biography

Ismira's father, Tirithon (though usually referred to by his odd and very un-elvish nickname, Luckycharmes) was a mighty Elf Champion who hailed from Ered Luin. During his extensive travels, he arrived in Lothlórien, where he met and captured the heart of an elf maiden both fair and virtuous, by the name of Nostariel. His feelings toward this maiden were no different from her own, and they were soon married. Ismira was born in the city of Caras Galadhon somewhere around the year 1200 in the Third Age. She also had one elder sister, Morwen.

When Ismira was but a young maiden, her mother fell ill with a slow working ailment, to the point that not even elvish medicine could aid her. Luckycharmes wished her to sail to the Undying Lands before it was too late. Nostariel agreed, but she wished to take her children with her to save them from the evil that was beginning to rear its head in Middle Earth. Morwen agreed to go, but Ismira's father had told her tales of the adventures he had undergone since she had been but a small girl. He spoke of rescues and sieges, of lands from Ered Luin to Rohan, of the fair elves of Rivendell and the tribal people of Dunland, and of the great deeds he had accomplished. He also told her of the evil which was spreading throughout Middle Earth, threatening to destroy all that was free and good, and how he would never stop fighting against it. Ismira knew that as long as this shadow was spreading over the land, she could not leave its people to destruction and enslavement. She swore, to the dismay of her mother, never to sail to the Undying Lands until the land that Ismira loved was safe from the evil which threatened to consume it. (Even besides that, the boredom which Ismira believed awaited her by sitting around in the Grey Havens was almost unbearable for her to dwell on.) And so, her mother and sister were forced to sail without her.

Ismira began her adventures by choosing the path of the Rune-Keeper. She studied this mode of combat in Lórien for a time before officially starting her quest to retake Middle Earth for the Free Peoples. She adventured without evil chance for a few years until one day, she was captured by a band of vicious orcs. They dragged her across the land to an awful prison for spies in rural Dale. For weeks and months she was starved and interrogated to the brink of madness, tormented by bitter cold, awful and insufficient food, the ignorant mindsets of the underling orcs, and their shocking lack of musical appreciation. Just when she thought she could no longer bear it, an amazing thing happened. As she was being asked questions by the leader of the camp, a relatively large rock was rolled over the cliff behind him. The rock fell like a... well, a rock and by some lucky chance, it landed right on the head of the orc leader, smashing it like a rotten egg. As the orcs saw this, they fled the scene in terror, believing there to be some kind of great warrior about. Without their leader, they were in mass panic and cared nothing for what Ismira was doing. She freed the other prisoners and went on to slay a great many orcs before the rest had fled. She dragged herself up a hill in hopes of finding the great warrior who had rescued her. However, her exhaustion proved too great and she passed out halfway up the hill.

When she awoke, she found that she was in the home of a human family being taken care of by a woman and her daughter, Melwae. As it turned out, it was this young maiden who had completely by accident rolled the rock onto the orc's head whist clearing the family field of rocks. Ismira longed to move on, but agreed to stay until she was better. As she was healed by the remarkable skill of Melwae, she told her new friend of the grand adventures that she had encountered. Her stories eventually planted a seed of daring in the usually quiet and introverted young lady. When Ismira was once again ready to set off, Melwae went with her and learned the ways of the Minstrel. They joined the noble band of warriors, Captains of the West and often set out to battle evil side by side or with their kindred. Though Melwae often openly criticizes Ismira's lack of any sense of direction and her tendency to accidentally jump off of cliffs, the elf and the human are fast friends, and shall remain so.

And so Ismira continues upon her quest. Never to rest until Middle Earth is free from the shadow. Whether alone or with her friends, she does whatever it takes to ensure the liberty of the Free Peoples. Even if it means jumping into wells, fighting hallucination inducing frogs, eating questionable looking cheese, or even delivering pies.
