Description

Physical Description: Falogar makes every attempt to hide himself from the view of others. He is nearly always seen wearing a hood, pulled far forward, concealing his face in shadow. He walks softly and cautiously, maintaining an uncomfortable air around him. Beneath the hood, though, is a young face, it's only mark being a scar on his right cheek and eyes that convey an anger that seems to be hiding something else.

Personality Description: Falogar comes across as a very unsociable individual. He reacts unfavorably to the presence of others, often doing his best to remove himself from company. Conversations are often brief and either angry or distant. Unless you can make him feel comfortable around you, in which case he often shows compassion and unswerving loyalty.

Bio

Falogar never knew his mother. He grew up with his father, a blacksmith in Rohan, for the first 8 years of his life, before his father had decided to move to Bree. They bought a farm north-west of the city and his father worked hard. Falogar helped faithfully, but was happiest when he was allowed to wander into the Old Forest. Slowly he went further and further in and he grew to love the place, feeling at his most comfortable amongst the trees. Unfortunately his father died of a sickness when Falogar was 17 and he found himself running the farm on his own. He worked tirelessly, doing what he could in legacy to his father and burying his sorrows with the seeds. But his life changed quickly when he met a woman in Bree during one of his deliveries. He quickly became besotted by her and was delighted to discover she returned his feelings. He married her when he was exactly 20 and the two lived at the farmhouse together happily. It was 6 months later that a man arrived at his door, changing Falogar's life drastically again. He spoke of his father and told him that his real reason for moving to Bree was not to change life-style, but to escape a group of bandits. The man proved to be an old friend of his fathers and they spoke for an afternoon. Falogar listened as he was told of his father's exploits, working for a group of bandits led by a woman. He had been in deep when he had a sudden jolt of morality and awakened to what he was doing. In a single evening he had managed to steal most of their riches and lure them into the hands of the watch. The leader, though, had unfortunately escaped. Falogar was warned and the man left without turning back. That night he went to visit the old forest and console his thoughts. He found himself at peace amongst the leaves again but had to turn back, as it grew late. He arrived home and set the lantern down on the dining table, just as a dagger shot out from behind him and pressed itself to his neck. "I'm sorry," a voice said from the other end of the blade, "But I swore revenge." In a quick maneuver Falogar grabbed the knife arm and pulled the culprit over his head and onto the floor infront of him...and reeled back in shock. His wife lay there, knife shining in her tightly clenched hand. He stumbled backward, knocking the lantern onto the floor. It erupted into flames, engulfing the lantern that had imprisoned it and spreading across the floor and walls quickly, bringing a beam down onto his wife's legs. He ran to help her, but as he bent down to assist she lashed out, slicing his right cheek as he reeled backward. And with a final look of regret he ran from the house. He watched his life burn that night. And the tears burnt his eyes as powerfully as the flames burnt his house. Once the fire died he immediately went to look for his wife, but there was no sign. "It's to be expected Falogar." Some of those that had rushed to the flames said. "There's just nothing left after a fire." But he couldn't help but feel that she wasn't quite dead. And he didn't know whether to react happily to the possibility or be afraid for his life. Now he simply wanders, doing what he can to earn enough to keep himself alive, but chiefly living off the land and the forests that he loved. He can often be seen in the Old Forest, as it is the one home he has left. But every now and then, when he's feeling particularly lost or alone, Falogar returns to Bree, in the hope of glimpsing her face.
