Description
Physical Description:
Eodred stands approximately 6' 2" tall and weighs in at a solid 220 lbs. Brown shoulder length hair resides beneath his war helm which also hides various facial scars from skirmishes with Dol Guldur forces in Mirkwood. He is well trained in all traditional weapons of war but prefers his Captain's Halberd or a trusty sword and shield when the need should arise. Schooled as a warrior since adoption he is also well versed in mounted warfare and looks forward to meeting the forces of Sauron on grasses of Rohan and the Pelennor Fields when the time presents itself.
Personality Description:
Cool, calm, quiet, thoughtful and calculated...but when pressed to battle quick to react and even faster to action. A man of few words, his leadership and master of weapons speak for him. Eodred weighs all risks before jumping into an unknown situation, he rarely rushes in headlong.
He's a faithful friend to the end, but if you cross him through acts of betrayal or cowardice that put him or his charges in jeopardy you'd wish you'd never been born.
Strength, honor, integrity and intelligence above all.
Bio
Eodred Falthas of Rohan
Son of Haldred and Myryon. Captain of the Riddermark, in the service of the King of the Golden Hall and all the Free Peoples of Middle-earth.
Early in childhood Eodred's parents were slain by one of the mysterious orc bands that plied the trade routes south of the Misty Mountains.
He was adopted by the Riders and taught the ways of the Mearas (horse). He became a skilled and respected warrior who eventually caught the eye of the Steward of Gondor.
An evil was again stirring in the tower of Dol Guldur in the depths of Mirkwood and it was spreading north towards Thranduil's realm as well as west to Lothlorien. Eodred was sent to assist the elven king Thranduil with keeping watch on the tower and pushing back the excursions of orcs and other fel beasts. He became much respected within the Woodland Realm and was eventually bestowed with the Sindarin surname of 'Falthas' for his service to Thranduil.
In his 43rd summer the War of the Ring begins . . .

Enemies:

Gossip
- Rumors within the younger circles of the Riders of the Mark is that Eodred is too old and disconnected from Rohan to serve. Théoden and Éomer obviously see otherwise...and this creates bitterness and resentment among the younger ranks. None have the nerve to confront him concerning the matter, and those who have usually limp back to their homes after meeting the blunt end of his sword. His experience speaks for itself. Eodred will retire when Sauron, and his puppet lackey Saruman, are destroyed.
- When not serving Rohan or Thranduil guarding Dol Guldur, Eodred is often rumored to be seen wandering Middle-earth with a stout and terrible dwarf warrior and a halfling singer of songs. What they do in their travels is unknown. They were last seen in the rolling hills of Eregion . . .
