Background
Emma is a fairly young Hobbit. She grew up in Bywater, in a hole north of the river, and due to the wide, slow-moving (ie relatively safe) nature of the water at this point learned to swim & even use boats! She had stayed close to home, still lived in her parents' hole, when one day she tried to post a letter to her pen-pal from Archet ... she was then caught up in a whirlwind of events, and in the process discovered a whole wide world & skills she'd never dreamed of. While she still enjoys visiting the Shire and her family, she now knows how fragile the Hobbits peace is, and is determined to do her part in keeping the Shire safe.
Crafting
Emma chose to be an explorer when first talking to the crafting trainer, however she later realised that she & her disparate bunch of friends had all the crafting skills between them except metalsmith, so she retrained to become an armourer.
Helegrod
With some trepidation, Emma took her first steps into Helegrod at level 48 with a few of her Kin and a good many friends from Circle of Trust.
She was part of a fellowship with two minstrels so the other minstrel took the role of primary healer while she used her new, fairly untested, dps skills (a recent discovery by her minstrel trainer had opened up several new skills, whilst unfortunately causing her healing skills to cost more power).
A strange mix of hectic fights, occasional retreats, and much waiting and re-grouping followed; as the raid downed several bosses - an ice-giant, a spider & 2 drakes. After a lucky roll, Emma is now the proud wearer of the Despatcher of Zaudru title :D .
Although Thorog kept a disdainful eye on us as we ran through his courtyard below, we felt that we had had enough adventure for one day and we would leave the chance to kill him for another time.
Beryl Shard
Emma took on, and finally defeated, her first solo same-level Elite in the Southern High Pass in search of a Beryl Shard.
She spied Rodlug prowling through Ceber Los, unfortunately he spied her too, and unprepared she was defeated.
On the second and third attempts she had eaten and used battle scrolls, but in both cases a worm add meant that she ended up feigning death to escape.
On the fourth attempt, despite a wolf add, she was successful and came away triumphant with her Shard.
