Bio
Being into a low-ranking noble family, Anak lived a mildly sheltered life during his childhood and managed to earn his way into Gondor's military as he came of age. After a few years as a knight in the service of Gondor, Anak was awarded the title of Captain and assigned a small company of knights to command. His assigned duty was to patrol and protect the area around the North Gate in Osgiliath, his home and a town known for being constantly attacked by Orc marauders. Originally, this assignment belonged to his father, but due to age and poor health, Cedric, Anak's father, retired from service and would live out the rest of his days inside the city.
Approximately 6 months ago, a party of Orcs launched an attack on the city from the North. Anak's patrol was ambushed as they came to the aid of the defenders along the North Wall of the city. Anak was severely injured while most of his company of knights were slain in the battle. Eventually, the attack was repelled and Anak and the few survivors of his company were taken to Minas Tirith to recover from their wounds.
It was in the White City that things changed drastically for Anak. Upon hearing of his father's death during yet another attack on Osgiliath, Anak drank himself into a rage, blaming his father's death on the lack of action by the Steward, Denethor. Knowing that things would only get worse for Gondor, Anak decided to form his own company of people and to protect Gondor outside the authority of the Steward, whom Anak thinks of as nothing more than complacent and lacking the will to act against the Orcs.
During his travels through Gondor, Rohan, and points further North and West, Anak managed to come into contact with several like-minded individuals who have seen that things are getting worse for Middle Earth. With this core of individuals, Anak formed a knighthood called the Order of the Phoenix. The Phoenix was chosen as it's symbol since it represents rebirth.
Sending his followers back to Gondor in the hopes that they will continue the fight and establish a base of operations, Anak decided he would best serve Gondor by helping to swell the ranks of the Order of the Phoenix. Always on his mind, however, is the hope that one day, he will return to Gondor. If anything, to help save it from the incompetence of the Steward.
Though "The Order" limits his ability to protect Gondor directly, Anak has chosen to look at the bigger picture. Middle Earth as a whole is now threatened by Shadow. He hopes that "The Order" and other groups, can take back Middle Earth before it is overrun by Shadow.
