Deeds
Regarding your edit [1], I am curious why you removed the Deed Involvement section. If anything, I would think it should have the Enmity of the Goblins deeds added, if those deeds are in fact incremented by defeating Zanskík. I have found that named and rare creatures do not always contribute to the deeds, the same as most normal unnamed creatures. I added that section when I observed that the goblin slayer deed was in fact incremented by slaying him. RingTailCat (talk) 09:52, 1 September 2012 (EDT)
- I do not really have any strong opinion in either way about this but...
- ... what value do such an entry have for a guy that most players will face only a very limited number of times? I mean, you won't go hunt down Zanshík to fill these slayer deeds, do you?
- Yes, killing him adds +1, but the value is IMHO nonsense as you won't really slay him more than a few times, compared to the amount of goblins you must kill for the deed. However, +1 is +1 and I do not really have a stronger argument than this. -- Zimoon (talk) 10:22, 1 September 2012 (EDT)
- Well, actually, ever time I have a character out in the Shire doing those low level deeds, I make a point of offing (at least once) as many of the rares as I can find. I even have one character (a lore-master, actually) that collects all the special drops. That's just one of the ways I have fun with the game! RingTailCat (talk) 11:13, 1 September 2012 (EDT)
- We are all completists in different ways, heh. Similarly with the discussion of loot drops over on RTC's page - if it doesn't hurt, then I say let people who care about precision on a subject be precise about a subject even if it seems trivial to others. What would be nice would be some sort of SemanticMediaWiki magic that could detect which deeds a mob was involved in and list them with no further work on our part. More food for thought, heh. - I recall being pleasantly surprised to find my North Downs Troll slayer deed completed by defeating trolls in the Attack at Dawn skirmish, but not from Daywalker Berserker defeats. RingTailCat (talk) 16:05, 1 September 2012 (EDT)
