Presumably, -ar is the singular form, and -air is the plural, cf. Dúnadan - Dúnedain. This hasn't been consistently applied in the quoted quest text, however. Qwallath (talk) 09:53, 19 July 2012 (EDT)

Agreed - same with hendroval/hendrevail. Next time I do this quest, I'll /bug the typos and maybe we can get Turbine to tell those Elves to be more consistent. :) Sethladan 15:35, 19 July 2012 (EDT)
OK, then I move the page to the singular form and correct the text accordingly. Thanks. And sorry I missed this, the day before my vacation begun ;) Zimoon (talk) 04:24, 31 July 2012 (EDT)
PS. the quest text using both forms is 100% accurate, it really should be singular and plural forms respectively.
This article, though, is moved to the singular form, as it should have been from start. DS. -- Zimoon (talk) 04:35, 31 July 2012 (EDT)
PPS. I have now read through all occurrences of Silithar and Silithair at this wiki and it seems consistently correct. I'd say the Elves has either corrected themselves quickly, or it was OK from start. I did not check our history on all pages ;). DDS. -- Zimoon (talk) 05:00, 31 July 2012 (EDT)
What about the first paragraph? ("Telchar used one of these stones in the creation of Narsil, and the Silithair it was that caused the blade to glow with silver light when wielded in battle.") It seems like "the Silithair" refers to the single stone on Narsil, rather than stones plural, also because of "was" instead of "were". Qwallath (talk) 05:40, 15 August 2012 (EDT)
Nice catch - I went ahead and changed it just because. :) If someone comes along with verification from the original quest text or NPC, then we can change it back with [sic]. Sethladan 12:10, 15 August 2012 (EDT)
