Notes on the North Downs

Of course the name of also this region is changed to The North Downs. I gave up and tried to use "the North Downs" wherever it occurred in text but I did not move this page to "The North Downs", not wanting yet another numbing run over the hundreds of links to update. Sorry about that, anybody volunteering have my applauds ;)

New to Editing but trying to update the "North Downs Quests". From what I can tell The main page and all the categories and stuff for the "North Downs" should be "North Downs" not "The North Downs". It looks like 10 years ago Zimoon gave up trying to correct all the wrong edits and made this page redirect to the wrong page. Reading through "The North Downs" it just sounds and looks weird to have "The" in front of the North Downs every time it automatically appears.

Looking for feed back from any more experienced editors. I am finding out that in updating "North Downs Quests" or "The North Down Quests" I am going to be going into many of the pages to fix issues around this or needing to add redirect. In this process could I recreate this page (leaving the redirect) and other like it until I get all the other pages fixed? Once upon a time we changed because at that time a "The" was tucked on to the name. And now it is removed again.

Not long ago editors decided that if a region/area/settlement has a map, we should use the name of the map. Hence it should be North Downs, as you noticed.

Recently I completed moving The Lone-lands to Lone-lands. Now I am almost finished with moving The Trollshaws to Trollshaws and then I had planned to continue with The North Downs to North Downs. It usually takes me some days to complete such a name-change, including moving pages and categories. I think you do not have the permissions to do page moves but I appreciate your concern.

On two other topics. 1) Remember to "indent" you comments if they are under the same header as previous comments. That way we easily see the time-line by the increasing indentation (I have fixed that now). 2) Remember to sign your comments. You can click the button just next to the I (italic) button, or you type ~~~~, which will be replaced by your user-name and date upon save.
