Swan-knight

The Swan-knights of Dol Amroth are arguably the finest warriors in all of Gondor. These famed soldiers are skilled riders who form the most elite cavalry force in Middle-earth save for the Riders of Rohan. Under the command of Imrahil, Prince of Dol Amroth and highest of the Lords of the Southern Fiefdoms, they have come to Minas Tirith to defend the capital against the forces of Mordor who march across Pelennor Fields, seeking to storm the White City and lay waste to its walls. The Swan-knights are stationed at the Great Gate, where the onslaught of the Enemy is the fiercest, and inspire the soldiers of Gondor to fight on against shadows and despair, to ensure that Minas Tirith does not fall.
