Roäc (born T.A. 2788, died after T.A. 2941) was the chief of the ravens of Ravenhill near Erebor. He was the son of Carc and a descendant of the ravens who remained on Ravenhill after the Dragon Smaug drove the Dwarves from the Lonely Mountain.

Roäc was fluent in Westron and played an important role during the events surrounding the Quest of Thorin and Company. In T.A. 2941, when Thorin Oakenshield, his companions, and Bilbo Baggins were keeping watch on Erebor, an old thrush summoned Roäc to them. At that time, Roäc was already advanced in age, being 153 years old.

Roäc brought news that Smaug had been slain and agreed to carry Thorin's message to Dáin Ironfoot, calling for aid to guard the treasure of Erebor in the uncertain aftermath of war. He also offered Thorin a warning, cautioning that the treasure of the mountain was likely to be his death.

Roäc was succeeded in his position as chief of the ravens by his son, Croär.
