Alternative dialogue
It would seem that alternative dialogue is available for two of the Objectives if you have never met Gun Ain: most significantly, you don't get a name for the "dazed woman". I've shown the different words below: I'm not sure about the formatting for the line starting "She nods reluctantly", which is in caps across the screen rather than in a quest dialog. Objective 6
- Talk to the dazed woman outside Marton
- The woman looks up at you with tear-stained eyes, and in a single look you know that she has never lived anywhere but Marton. With soft words, you tell her that she will not be safe here, and ask that she come with you and Bingo to Grimslade, to the south-east.
- 'My home,' she says sadly.
- She nods reluctantly and agrees to go to Grimslade, to search for a new home
Objective 7
- Talk to Bingo in the centre of Grimslade, in the Westfold
Bingo is in the centre of the town of Grimslade, in the Westfold.
- Bingo Boffin: 'We have made it safely to Grimslade. I do hope that our friend will be able to make a new life for herself here.
- The woman smiles at you and Bingo sadly. The scars of lost Marton will always remain, but her expression shows a resolve to rebuild and recover from the experience.
- 'This was quite enough for one day,' Bingo continues. 'We have been invited to take our supper in the Grimslade Mead Hall, atop the hill. I will meet you inside, <name>!'
- I would just insert this entire collection of information -- including your explanation -- into the Walkthrough and notes.
- The only change I would have offer is -- change "never met" to "never completed the Vol. III. Book 14: The Waters of Isengard, Chapter 7: Lothrandir
- Instance: Lothrandir (Objective 9) where she is Named in "Halbarad's judgement."
- Something like:
- Alternative dialogue is available for two of the Objectives if you have never met "Mercy," aka Gun Ain. That is, if you have never completed Vol. III. Book 14: The Waters of Isengard, Chapter 7: Lothrandir - Instance: Lothrandir (Objective 9) where she is Named in "Halbarad's judgement.": most significantly, you don't get a name for the "dazed woman".
- I simlply indent the screen (Director's) comment. I treat such as "stage directions," such as you find in any written script when directing a play. They tell the actor what the playwright expects the Director to get the actors to do in the form of on-stage actions.
