Walkthrough & Notes

There is a 33% chance that, on any game morning, there will be a pie eating contest at the Festival Grounds in Bree-land. The quest disappears when evening sets in (gloaming). Pies respawn, but if there are more than 2 persons in the contest, there will not be enough pies for everyone to win. You must finish AND hand in the quest with Humbert before the timer expires. The gooseberry and apple pies are faster to consume than some of the others. This quest can only ever be completed once per character. After that, Humbert will simply greet you but not activate a quest.

Bestowal dialogue 'Are you here for the pie-eating contest? Wonderful! I'll explain the rules... 'The goal is to eat any six of the pies there on the table. Big ones or small ones, it makes no difference to me! But be sure you let me know you are finished before the time expires. 'Are you ready to start?' Background It is time for the pie-eating contest at the Bree-fields fair-ground. Come one, come all, and enjoy the fare. Objective 1 Eat pies (0/6) Finish before time runs out! Eat six more pies within the alloted time. Objective 2 Eat pies (1/6) Finish before time runs out! Eat six more pies within the alloted time. Objective 3 Eat pies (2/6) Finish before time runs out! Eat five more pies within the alloted time. Objective 4 Eat pies (3/6) Finish before time runs out! Eat four more pies within the alloted time. Objective 5 Eat pies (4/6) Finish before time runs out! Eat three more pies within the alloted time. Objective 6 Eat pies (5/6) Finish before time runs out! Eat two more pies within the alloted time. Objective 7 Talk to Humbert Sandheaver Stuffed and sticky with pie, you should now speak to the Pie-man. Humbert Sandheaver: 'Well done, friend! You sure put away those pies, and just in the nick of time! 'As a winner of the pie-eating contest, you're welcome to claim your prize.
