Walkthrough & Notes

The Ice Giants in the mission are not hostile with respect to the player, although some engage in combat with the Frostgoblin Emissaries. Presumably the enmity between them, and the significance of "gifts", is explained in the The Tipping Point and/or Diplomacy in the Giant's Den quest chains. The Ice Pillars are present on all 3 levels of the instance, labelled Ice Pillar Gifts. Coordinates of Ice Pillar Gifts Lower level 46.0N, 77.5W 46.0N, 77.7W 45.9N, 77.7W 45.9N, 77.8W 46.0N, 77.9W Landing between stairs 45.7N, 78.2W 45.6N, 78.1W Upper level 45.7N, 77.9W 45.6N, 77.7W 45.7N, 77.5W There is an instance portal at the end/top of the instance, but that is not usable for this mission ("You do not have the corresponding quest"). The scout and chest appear near where the mission starts. After completing your objectives, there is a limited time (2 minutes) before you will be automatically ejected from the instance. You need to find and open the "Mission Reward" chest before this happens. Defeating more enemies does not reset the timer!

A group of Frost-horde Hobgoblin Emissaries were seen creating a series of ice pillars spread around the area. These pillars seem to have been emitting a frosty aura. 'Enter the mountain pass, defeat Frost-horde Emissaries, and destroy the Ice Passage in the mountain pass!'  Twist: Hrímil's Chosen Background You have been tasked with defeating Frost-horde Hobgoblin Emissaries and destroying ice pillars spread around the area. Objective 1 Defeat Frost-horde Hobgoblin Emissaries (0/12) Destroy ice pillars (0/10) You should defeat Frost-horde Hobgoblin Emissaries and destroy ice pillars spread around the area. Frost-horde emissaries have begun to lend aid to ice-giants in a mountain pass leading towards an entrance in Gundabad... Objective 2 Regroup near the bridge near the mountain pass You should regroup near the bridge near the mountain pass. MISSION COMPLETE!
