Walkthrough & Notes
This quest will pop-up as soon as you defeat the spying Hendroval. The cave Nurath is just past the Spying Hendroval [32.2S, 13.4W] You only need to enter the cave as far as the first campfire to trigger the quest advance. Arrod is at his vantage point above the main road in the Bruinen Gorges [33.8S, 14.6W]

Quest Text

Bestowal dialogue The entrance to the troll-cave is north-east of Arrod's camp. You should scout inside the cave, as there do not seem to be too many trolls outside. You should scout inside the cave and learn of the trolls' numbers Background You defeated the hendroval, but saw few trolls, though they may be holed up in their cave. Objective 1 Scout inside the troll-cave The entrance to the troll-cave is north-east of Arrod's camp. You should scout inside the cave, as there are few trolls outside during the light of day. These Cave-trolls are far hardier than the Stone-trolls you encountered elsewhere in the Trollshaws Objective 2 Talk to Arrod Arrod is at his camp on the cliff south-west of the troll-cave. You should return to Arrod with tidings of your discovery in the troll-cave. Arrod: 'Cave-trolls? I have not heard of such venturing so far from Moria.... 'This is dire news, indeed.'
