A Cornered Foe
"Gollum has been cornered by orcs of Dol Guldur. Should they capture him the Nine will surely learn of the Ring's location before the Fellowship can leave Lothlorien."
Background
The Elf-scout Miluimil has been charged with capturing the creature named Gollum to prevent him from falling into the hands of the Orcs.
Objective 1
- Defeat the Orcs pursuing Gollum
Speak with Miluimil and proceed into the caverns to stop the Orcs pursuing Gollum from capturing him.
- Shatog says, "You lot! Kill that <race> while I get this slippery rat under wraps!"
- Shatog says, "If this one escapes, it'll be the dungeons or worse for all of us!"
- Gollum says, "No! Let usss be!"
- Gollum shouts, "Save me nice <race>ses! The orcs will pinch and burn poor preciousss!"
- Shatog says, "Whats that!? Curse you <race>! If you cost me my prize I'll tear you to pieces!"
- Gollum says, "The <race> helps us my precious! But is it strong enough?"
- Gollum says, "Yesss! Die nassty orc! Leave poor Gollum alone!"
- Gollum says, "We are free my precious! Run before the <race> grabs us! Everyone wants to catch poor Gollum! Gollum..."
- Gollum has escaped
- Shatog says, "No! He's escaping! I'll gut you for this <race>! I'll... ugh..."
- Miluimil says, "Ho there <name>! Have you caught the slippery little fellow yet?"
- Miluimil says, "Alas! He's escaped us again! How many times shall I be tricked?"
- Miluimil says, "Still, I see you've made short work of the orcs sent to capture him - and it's more important that he stay out of their hands than fall into ours."
- Miluimil says, "We'd best leave this place quickly. The spiders have been aroused by this clamour and will soon be upon us if we remain."
Objective 2
Talk to Miluimil to depart from the dark caverns.
Miluimil: 'Quickly! We must be away from this place!'
