- Divide the raid into two even fellowships that each stand near a different tree. Each player (even the healers) should hit their assigned tree at the start of the fight in order to mark themselves with its sap. The tanks should stand behind their respective trees, as they have an AOE stun attack. DPS the trees as fast as possible until they get shields.
- Once the trees get shields, 3 bog-lurkers will spawn around them. Each tree will be immune to damage until all 3 of its lurkers are dead. Players should not hit their own lurkers as they will reflect damage, so each group needs to kill the opposite colour lurkers. This is easier if the two tanks use a non-damaging force taunt and drag the lurkers over to the other side (but don't hit the opposite tree or you'll fail the challenge). Defeated lurkers will also start respawning if you take too long to kill the others, so the groups should weaken their lurkers and then kill all 6 at the same time, so that the trees both go active at the same time and both groups can immediately go back to DPSing them.
- Go all out on the trees once they're both active, burning all cooldowns. If you don't manage to kill off the trees before they green-bar again, you have one more round of lurkers for another opportunity.
- If something goes wrong, the fight and challenge quest can be reset by pulling a lurker back into the hallway.
