Bâr Nírnaeth, the Houses of Lamentation
"None come unbidden to the Houses of Lamentation. And yet, here are the Living and the Deathless, uninvited and uninitiated. I have not forgotten the rites of old, Master, for Morloth shall soon drink of their blood. There is flesh to be flensed and there are minds to be broken... and all shall be left naked before the Lidless Eye."
Background
Deep in the darkness of Thuringwath lies Bâr Nírnaeth, the Houses of Lamentation. There, within that great fane where the Nazgûl once worshipped and made sacrifice to Sauron, one of the Dark Lord's most mysterious servants prepares Dhak Thrakrut, the Rite of Returning.
Objective 1
Defeat Manôzagar with Mokh Núlum, the Vault of Anguish.
- Manôzagar says, "What pitiful sorcery is this?!"
- Manôzagar says, "With all the gifts the Mistress has given you, none of you can put an end to these intrusions?"
- Manôzagar says, "So be it."
- Manôzagar says, "I shall deliver them to Agath-kali myself!"
- Manôzagar says, "I am no mere spirit! Whatever I wish to possess shall be mine!"
- Manôzagar says, "Noooo..."
- Manôzagar says, "Did you fools think me so easily defeated?"
- Manôzagar says, "I shall crush you until nothing remains but your blood!"
- Manôzagar says, "I always... return..."
Objective 2
- Narkhor the Flensed says, "What a miserable legacy the Blood-witch has made for herself..."
- Narkhor the Flensed says, "Weak, malformed children. Thin, unclean blood. None among them deserve the gift of Agath-kali... of the Witch-king!"
- Narkhor the Flensed says, "And you... you come unbidden to Bâr Nírnaeth seeking to defile the greatest works of the Witch-king."
- Narkhor the Flensed says, "It shall not be so."
- Narkhor the Flensed says, "Your blood will nourish the roots of Morloth!"
- Narkhor the Flensed says, "The blood of the Unhoused is mine to command!"
- Narkhor the Flensed says, "Mistress Agath-kali... my blood is yours..."
Objective 3
- Find Morloth and interrupt the Rite of Returning
Tûm Morloth can be found outside Bâr Nírnaeth, the Houses of Lamentation.
Agath-kali has absconded to Tûm Morloth to begin her final preparations Dhak Thrakrut, the Rite of Returning.
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "Agath-kali, Mistress of Lamentation! Hear my words!"
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "I am Lhaereth the Stained, Lady of Blight, Ruler of Mordor."
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "I seek for the Dark Tree, Morloth."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "Hail, Lhaereth."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "It is a great offence to the Witch-king to come unbidden to the Houses of Lamentation..."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "...and to let your children defile its halls."
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "I am here only to possess what is owed to me."
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "Is it true that Morloth serves as a vessel for lost spirits?"
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "The existence of Morloth was known to but a few of the Dark Lord's servants."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "How did such knowledge come to you?"
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "Through a bargain with the archivist, Dolguzigir."
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "In exchange for my Plague, I learned of the Houses of Lamentation."
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "I learned of Morloth... and I learned of you, Agath-kali."
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "Nothing for nothing, as he insisted."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "A trifle for far too much, I think."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "Tell me, Lhaereth. What is it you believe you are owed?"
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "An heir. A true heir."
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "It was I who tended Sauron in His time of weakness."
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "In return, I asked only one thing of Him."
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "An heir born of our union."
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "It was a promised made to me by the Dark Lord."

- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "I see."

- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "Though many spirits dwell within Morloth and might still be drawn from it, Sauron is not among them."
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "Dare you to deceive me, gaunt-woman?"
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "Dear child of the Elder Days, Sauron the Great has fallen where none may follow."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "No magic remains in this world that could draw him back from the Void."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "He is beyond Dhak Thrakrut... beyond the Rite of Returning."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "I am afraid you have come for naught, Lhaereth."
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "What treachery is this?"
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "All of it... LIES!"
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "I speak no untruths."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "What little fruit Morloth has yielded might indeed serve as a vessel of rebirth..."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "...but not for Him."
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "Is that so?"
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "Surrender one of the fruits of Morloth, and I shall leave in peace."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "You are bold to believe that I should answer to one as lowly as you."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "I am not bound by such a promise, Lhaereth, and there shall be no peace between us."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "Begone at once or you and your children shall feed the roots of Morloth!"
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "If you will not give it freely, I SHALL TAKE IT!"
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "Wretched one!"
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "This is not the end of things between us, Agath-kali!"
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "My children shall descend upon the vale like locusts!"
- Lhaereth the Stained says, "IT IS MINE!"
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "Now, what is this?"
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "Has the fool witch led yet more unwanted guests through the Houses of Lamentation?"
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "It is no matter. Soon they shall bleed for you, Morloth..."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "I must descend to Ghurn Grishúrz and perform the ritual at once!"
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "Teach them as I have taught you, my servants!"
With the sounding of heavy creaks, Morloth springs to life and attacks!
Morloth stills, but Agath-kali has gone to Ghurn Grishúrz below to finish her vile rites....
Objective 4
Defeat Agath-Kali before she can perform Dhak Thrakrut, the Rite of Returning.
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "I was the first to bleed before Morloth."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "Morloth the Black... the Dire... the Profane."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "I have offered it the blood of Kings... of nobles... of peasants."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "I have heard every desperate promise, every lamentation, every plea for death."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "Yours, too, shall go unanswered."
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "What have they done?!"
- Agath-kali, the Gaunt-woman says, "And I am... the last..."
