Moon

The Moon was created from one of two remnants of the Two Trees, the last single blooming flower of Telperion.

The Valar set the flower in a great vessel and sent it into the sky, guided by the Maia Tilion, and it became the Moon.

As the Moon was left outside of Arda, Morgoth was not able to destroy it the way he had with the Two Trees and the Two Lamps before them.
