Labam-khebab

Labam-khebab (Khuzdul for the White Stone Forge, literally the White Forge), also called the Shaper's Hearth, is a sacred site to Durin's Folk. It is located on Abkan'aban, the Stone of Wakening, the island in the middle of the Gloomingtarn, next to Narag-dehar, the Black Anvil. The forge and anvil were purportedly created by Durin the Deathless himself, shortly after he awoke. After the Greymaul Rebellion, however, it was decreed that the forge should remain dark until the prophesied return of |Durin the Last, and so it was extinguished, serving ever after only as a site of ceremony for the Longbeards.
