Item Talk:A Need in Rohan

This is not actually an Item. Characters receive a mail, but there is no quest item that begins the quest. I seem to remember there being a method for handling this kind of mail, but I'm not sure what it is. -- Elinnea (talk) 12:00, 17 October 2012 (EDT)

See Quest:Rohan Awaits. After the U8 upgrade, level 75 characters have this email in the mailbox, and they have an Letter in their inventory. I suspect that when a character levels up to 75, they will receive this email with the letter item attached. When someone confirms this behaviour (by leveling up to level 75), we should edit the item to show this email's text, just as we do with the level 15, etc. class quests. But there is no letter item. This is completely separate from the Rohan Awaits letter, and they direct towards different places. This mail has no quest at all associated - it just mentions that I should go to Lothlorien, where Galadriel now offers the first chapter of book 7. My Minstrel has not received any Rohan Awaits letter (presumably because I haven't bought either the expansion or the quest pack yet) but I did get this mail from Galadriel. They happen to occur at the same time, but I'm not convinced that they're tied to each other.

OK, so this letter vectors you to the Vol. 3, Book 7 Epic quest line. That makes sense, 'cause the epic quests are available to everyone, regardless of quest pack or expansion ownership.
