Hallas (Tallness in Sindarin), son of Cirion Gwaedhir, served as the 13th ruling Steward of Gondor, holding the office from 2567 until his death in 2605.
Hallas was entrusted with the governance of Minas Tirith when his father marched north in T.A. 2510 to confront the Balchoth. After the victory at the Battle of the Field of Celebrant, he witnessed Cirion's granting of Calenardhon to Eorl the Young and the Eorlingas. Hallas himself proposed the names Rohan and Rohirrim.
He died in T.A. 2605 and was succeeded by his son, Húrin II.
