What is this map? Have all of these regions actually been announced? Or is this a fan creation? Skalchemisto! (talk) 01:34, 1 November 2024 (UTC)

It is a fan-created map, which the textbox on the map itself should clearly show. Only the green areas (if any), have been announced. The unannounced areas are gray, and have names of 3 types, in descending priority.

1) Actual in-game names whenever they are available, such as "The Fields of Celduin" seen on the in-game Dale-lands map

2) Names from official Tolkien sources but not yet seen in-game, such as Drúwaith Iaur

3) Unofficial names taken from various inspired/non-official sources, such as "Calenfalas", an area southwest of the Cape of Umbar, not named in-game nor by Tolkien. These names function mainly as placeholders until actual in-game names appear.
