There is no neat way to keep apart "landmarks" (that are instances) within areas, which are kind of super-instances, within regions similar to Moria. Do we need to know what relates to which area? I am in no way Gandalf the Wise but it certainly simplifies finding what one need, when one need it.

Another way would of course be to use completely different templates for instances, but why should we add yet another template and boilerplate?

I guess, in the end of the day, this boils down to the landmark-->region decision where area is superseded. Sometimes it really is good to be able to relate to the area, which always relates to the region. As does the lotro lorebook. Thus I again, very very humbly, ask: is there a way to (without destroying any work already done) add a variable which if it is set overrides the region? Otherwise region is king. Another way could be to always link to map, often the map equals the region, if not that is an indication that possibly the category could go elsewhere than to region.

Either way, we can always create extra categories but that still adds redundant information to the region. Such as landmark Forges of Khazad-dûm becomes an item in both categories Moria and The Flaming Deeps, but Flaming Deeps is already a part of Moria ==> redundancy.

I really do not want to "destroy everything" or to "turn the place upside down", but to help, just that. If/when I find something that can be improved I bring it forth, or fix it. In this case I suggest an improvement. It would be used all by itself and only when the game does not fit the current scheme, not at somebody's whim (such as me) ;) -- Zimoon (talk) 07:15, 24 September 2011 (EDT)
