Description

Akálam is the proprietor of the largest tavern in Umbar Baharbêl: Bloody Eagle Tavern.

His father, Akurga, was once Captain of the Haven over forty years previously, and was slain by an assault from Gondor led by the mysterious Thorongil, "Bane of Umbar". Akálam supposedly drove his father's killer from Umbar by mortally wounding him with his father's spear, and he now displays his father's spear proudly in the Bloody Eagle as a sign that Umbar can defeat any foe.
