The Standard of War used to be a banner placed on the ground by a Captain. The banner did not move and had a range effect. This standard acted the same as a Herald of War and therefore, either a Herald or a Standard could be summoned at a time.

The following Standards of War were available during vanilla (Shadows of Angmar):
