Saruman's Ring

Atop Isengard Tower, Saruman's Ring is the final part of the Tower of Orthanc raid. In this instance, you can use Saruman's Rings against him. After completing the first four wings of Tower of Orthanc, go up the stairs to the left of the Shadow Wing boss and you will be ported to the top of the tower and see Saruman in the middle of the tower.

  • This raid requires at least 5 people to start the fight with Sauraman

Location

This 12-man raid instance is accessed by entering "Isengard: The Tower of Orthanc" from Instance Join. You must have traveled to the Ox-Clan Camp in Isengard prior to entering the raid. All other wings must be completed before you are allowed to enter.

Boss Fight

Center Saruman, Shadow Saruman,Acid Saruman, Frost Saruman, Lightning Saruman, Fire Saruman

Must have 5 members of the group. Each must grab a Ring of Saruman from the pedestals to use in the fight. Each different ring has its one ability and limitations as described when the member picks up the ring.

Ideal group setup:

  • (2) Tanks (Guardian/Warden)
  • (3) Healers
  • (1) Lore Master
  • (1) Burglar
  • (2) Champions
  • (2) Captains
  • DPS: Hunter, Rune Keeper, Burglar

  • Phase 1: Tank 2 saruman's away from the group, burn down shadow first. Fairly straight forward fight.
  • Phase 2: Tank 2 Saruman's away from the group, burn down shadow first. One member of the group will get and X above their head, this poison (caused by acid Saruman) needs to be removed by healing the person inflicted to full health. Burn down Acid next, then the rest of the Saruman's
  • Phase 3: Tank 2 Saruman's away from the group, burn down shadow first. This time, random members will be inflicted with various potable diseases, fear, poisons, etc. They need to be cleared with pots or else the ENTIRE GROUP will be hit with various stuns, mezzes, etc. for 5-10 seconds
  • Phase 4: Tank 2 Saruman's away from the group, burn down shadow first. A purple cloud will randomly appear, usually over the tanking group. It inflicts massive DoT and the entire group needs to move. There will also be a green cloud, this causes lesser damage but should be avoided. The Center Saruman will also randomly call out a player to inflict damage on. Frost Saruman will also cause an AoE on the tanking group.
  • Phase 5: 2 of each of the Saruman's must be defeated.

You can eat food after the first and second phases, but that it is it.

Each player must claim their assigned ring in between the rounds.

If a player runs through the center Saruman, you will most likely be silenced for a short time. Run around the edges.
