The Lord sought to secure the tunnels of Torech Ungol, and the Lady attempted to cleanse the city of its corruption; in both endeavours they met with success, but for all their foresight and their wisdom, they could not pierce the sorceries of Sauron. Thuringwath remained hidden, and they did not find it.
