Quest Talk:To the Westfold

Variations

After the quest Woodhurst Has Fallen, Herubrand also bestows this quest, with slightly different text:

Bestowal:

Herubrand: 'You have helped a great deal, <name>, and I thank you for it! I believe all will be well now. Surely there are others you might help!'
Your thoughts travel to Gandalf, and your heart pulls you towards the Westfold -- the westernmost area of the Westemnet, the gate that holds the enemy at bay. You should hasten to that land at once.

Background: You should seek Gandalf in the Westfold.

Objective 1: Find Gandalf in the Westfold

You believe that Gandalf can be found in the centre of the Westfold, perhaps on the road.
You should seek Gandalf.

Apparently you also get a different dialogue from Gandalf upon completing the quest, depending on whether you picked it up from a Scout or from Herubrand. I will leave the Herubrand version here, and change the main quest text to the Scout version, to keep it consistent with itself.
Gandalf: 'How did you know I would be here, <name>? It is no matter -- there is no time! I will thank providence for this happy coincidence, and leave it at that.
'Come, we have much to discuss, and quickly!'

Quest Start-location?

Background: This is my final turn over all quests with a "problematic" starting location *.

What is the starting location of this quest? "Westemnet Scout", sure, but what is the most likely area? Or maybe it should be a region? Or nothing? — Zimoon 14:53, 19 June 2022 (UTC)

Outdated! Resolved at another talk-page about a similar issue. — Zimoon 16:19, 19 June 2022 (UTC)
