Walkthrough & Notes

The mission plays very much like a skirmish, with the first objective being defensive, click on the banner, then the second objective being offensive, click on another banner. Only Ghâshfra Leaders seem to have the  Twist: Burning Shield ability. Ghâshfra Defilers have an interruptible self-heal, and their totems snare and inflict a power-drain aura. When all other foes are defeated in the enemy encampment, Dagtark (big fire-singed orc) appears. He's in the center "island" of the encampment, near a big chunk of masonry. This is also where the "skirmish" banner appears, after Dagtark is defeated, and also Uidon (the "scout" for this mission), and the chest. After completing your objectives, there is a limited time (2 minutes) before you will be automatically ejected from the instance. You need to find and open the "Mission Reward" chest before this happens. Defeating more enemies does not reset the timer!

Bestowal Dialogue In the far reaches of Angmar lies The Rift. The passage through the mountains is one of the few that the Iron Crown has taken to the slopes of Gundabad... Your mission is to protect the Elves left to guard the entrance to The Rift.  Twist: Burning Shield Background You have been tasked with defending the Elves left to guard the entrance to The Rift. Objective 1 Defend the watch-tower Defend the watch-tower. THE WATCH-TOWER IS NOW SECURED, BUT THE ENEMY REGROUPS IN THEIR ENCAMPMENT BELOW Objective 2 Clear the enemy encampment below the watch-tower Clear the enemy encampment below the watch-tower. DAGTARK HAS BEEN DEFEATED, AND THE ENEMY ENCAMPMENT HAS BEEN CLEARED! MISSION COMPLETE! Uidon has arrived to assist. Objective 3 Talk to Hórin The mission is complete! Speak to Hórin for your reward! Uidon: I thank you for coming to our aid. Since the Rangers departed, we have been able to hold the entrance to The Rift. Recently it has been difficult with the Iron Crown renewing their efforts to expand out from Angmar. You have assisted us and that assistance will not be forgotten.
